Dear PACE Students,
This general guide is organised in the following chronological/topical manner for your ease of understanding. For further details, please refer to the Graduation Handbook via this link - [PACE Graduation microsite] or through other Self-Help articles via this link - [All Articles on PACE Graduation Ceremony]
1) Eligibility to Graduate
You must ensure that you have completed all the requirements of your programme i.e. passed all your modules. Students with any outstanding module yet to be completed will not be eligible for graduation.
For WSQ graduands who are already issued with their certificates/transcripts, you will be eligible to attend the graduation ceremony depending on when you have completed your course.
It is also important to check that you have resolved any outstanding fees and fines etc.
To check your results, please refer to the Student Portal or your iChat for updates. If you are unsure, you may refer to this link - [Examination Matters Section]
2) Notice of Graduation / Invitation to the Graduation Ceremony
If you are eligible to graduate, you will be receiving an email from the PACE Academy to invite you to the Graduation Ceremony.
As the graduation ceremonies are conducted in May and November each year, we will inform you at least one (1) month before the graduation ceremony via your iChat account.
At this juncture, you should also make efforts to settle all outstanding payments including library fines etc. Otherwise, we will not confirm your graduation.
To access your iChat account, please refer to this link - [Technical Help: iChat Account].
3) Your Timely Response Matters
If you are invited to a graduation ceremony, we require your response (refer to the instructions provided) before we confirm your seat in the ceremony. Please do so before the stipulated deadline to avoid any disappointment or complication. If you are unable to come, please response accordingly as well.
You should ensure that the following are updated correctly in our system when providing your response:
1) Your name
2) Your identification number
3) Your mailing address
4) Your mobile number
Please note that graduands are allowed to bring two (2) guests each. Special arrangement e.g. wheelchair access etc. can be arranged if you inform us early.
We also do not encourage you to bring along very young children/infants. Click here for details - [Policy: Admittance of Children]
However, if you cannot attend the graduation ceremony, please click here for details on how you may collect your certificates/transcripts - [Post Graduation Ceremony Certificate/Transcript Collection]
You should email to us separately to firstname.lastname@example.org for any other request.
4) Confirmation / Seat Details
We will confirm your seat number and provide other relevant details at least two (2) weeks before the ceremony. Please look out for our mailer via email or post.
Please note that you and your guests will be seated separately in the ceremonial hall.
5) Ceremonial Robe (MOE graduands only)
As graduands of our part time diploma or post-diploma programmes, you are required to rent (rental fees apply) a ceremonial robe for the ceremony. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to be onstage to collect your academic scroll.
Please refer to the Graduation Handbook through this link - [PACE Graduation microsite].
6) Arrive Early!
You and your guests are advised to arrive early (at around 4pm) on the actual day of the graduation ceremony.
Please note that you and your guests are required to follow the dress code stipulated. Otherwise, we may refuse entry.
While graduands are seated according to their seat numbers, guests will be seated on first-come-first-served basi in their sections. Therefore, in order to secure good seats with the best view of the stage, we recommend everyone to come early.
You and your guests will be ushered to generous buffet dinner after the ceremony has concluded.
Remember to check that you have duly collected your graduation package and book (fees apply) your graduation photo accordingly.
8) Returning Your Robe (MOE graduands only)
Please check back with the rental company by when you are required to return the robe.
